I promised myself I wouldn’t jump back into work, but alas, I couldn’t refuse…plus when I heard this family’s story I knew I couldn’t pass it.

This family beat the odds when the Doctors said there was only a 10% chance of ever having a child.They even beat the difficult pregnancy that came along afterwards.

They are blessed, no doubt, and how precious their sweet baby girl is.

Thank you for having patience with me, while I brought *my* baby girl along with me on the session, it was great getting to know you and I feel a lifetime friendship could be in the making!

My sweet baby Girl Eva Lauretta was born July 9th, 2010 @ 8:22 pm.

Her middle name being the middle name of my gramma who passed away when I was 9 years old but that I still think of and love dearly.

Eva is perfect in every way. I feel so blessed!

Every minute of discomfort and all the sickness I went through during the pregnancy is long forgotten just by having her in my arms.

Now since she is so far, she was generous enough to pass along her 50% off a fall session with mellanied photography.

Mom and Dad were worried that I didn’t getting any smiley photos…. well I sure did and he is just the cutest!!

This is officially my last session, now me and my big belly will relax for the couple of weeks I have before the new little one blesses our life’s.

It was a great way to end it, he is so squeezable and loveable as you will see of yourselves…

I took this couples maternity photos way back in November and we were suppose to do a newborn session but due to circumstances, it kept on being pushed back. Finally, at long last I got to meet Mr. Smiles, and OH he is such a happy baby!

He has the beautiful spirit of both mom and dad! I adore all the expression he gave me, he was just a total joy to work with.

Congratulations on your beautiful baby boy, he is precious and you have a beautiful family!

My Friend – Colleague and Wedding Photographer Partner JOSEE.

What can I say about you …

you have a constant glow around you,

you always do your best to make people around you feel comfortable and loved,

and you are so special in every way.

Josee and I decided to do an exchange of sessions : her celebrating the loss of 30lbs and

my gaining of 30 lbs of baby and we had an absolutely blast doing it.

I have to say, I hate being in front of the camera (hence no pictures of my pregnant belly) but Josee knew exactly how I am and was able to break me…

then again, I haven’t seen any of the pictures so I may just take that back…stay tuned.

She is a mom, a wife, and a hard worker.

She is my sanity on those long days we are doing our thing capturing our wedding clients.

What you don’t know is that Josee just turned 40 this year (don’t kill me Jo for spilling the beans) and she has never looked better!!! Plus who would have never guessed her age!!!

She is genuinely beautiful both inside and out.

Starting sometime after baby (maybe in the fall)l, I will be starting a sister site/company called Belle.

It will be exactly for what it’s called …to make women feel as beautiful as they should. We always tend to put ourselves last and this is going to be my way of giving you an outlet to feel and look beautiful…STAY TUNED!

Josee~ From the moment we met, you have brought a light to my life. We understood each other from day one and have grown together so much.

Special Day ~ Montreal Child Photographer

While I rarely do events (except weddings with a wonderful partner), I agreed to go and photograph this beautiful girl on her communion day before the celebration.

Both her and her sister were just gorgeous (and photogenic may I add) and I am so happy I agreed!

Such cute little girls but to get one photo of the two of them together…impossible!

Mom was asking me did I get pictures of my four kids together and I had to laugh…v.e.r.y. rarely!!!!

Even though I was unable to get that perfect picture of the two sisters together, I got such sweet individual photos I hope it will make up for it.

Fun Contest ~ Montreal Family Photographer

In light of my upcoming birth I thought I would have a fun contest for all my fans and previous clients.

It is simple….just guess when the baby will be born in the comment field below.

You *must* enter a date and time.

A little background:

This is my third child.

My first son was late, and I was induced 2 days after my due date. I was in labor for 18 hours and had him at 3:41 AM.

My second son came 10 days early. I was in labor for 6 hours and had him at 12:05 pm.

During my 20 week Ultrasound the Doctor said he/she (it is a surprise) was measuring small.

At my Obgyn appointment last week she said the baby was neither small nor big and should be the same size as my last baby which was 7lbs 8oz.

I am now 28 weeks pregnant and my estimated due date is July 23rd.

Often times new parents will ask me why does the newborn sessions need to be done so early on in the baby’s life and this is exactly why….all these details, all the newness, the purity, the innocence and beauty of the newborn and we all know and realize soon enough that it goes by so fast.

How the fingernails are so delicate every new parent worries about cutting them, how the baby’s skin flakes because they are adjusting to life outside of the womb where they were warm and emerged in water for 9 months, how their skin looks (and smells) so sweet and new, how they are still so flexible from being curled up inside of mommy.

For me, it isn’t how come we do it so soon, but how could we not. The very miracle you made, at the very beginning of life. What could be more beautiful!
