This little cutie is without a doubt loved.

Every single family member I got to meet yesterday just lit up in his presence. It truly is an amazing thing to watch, how such a little guy can bring such a huge amount of joy to everyone. Good things really DO come in small packages!!

This was a very special session with all of the family because they were celebrating a 60th birthday.

I hope you had a wonderful birthday with many more to come.

This is my last blog for 2010, and what a way to end it. This family was gorgeous, and so much fun.

They haven’t been all together in 22 years and I was fortunate enough to be there to capture this for them. You would never know it by all the love felt amongst the sisters, brothers, cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents.

It truly was a pleasure to meet all of you and I thank you for inviting me into your beautiful home and share some of this precious time with all of you.

And so with every new year comes new experiences, this past year I must admit I was very blessed. The experiences I have had this year, has made me grow in so many ways, in my career, as a mom, as a wife, as a sister, as a daughter and as a friend.

I find a depth to myself, it seems, every passing year and I am slowly finding my authentic self.

Each day I need to remind myself just how lucky I am.

Each day I need to be thankful for all that I have and all that I am.

With the coming year, comes many great surprises for Mellanied Photography, and I anxiously await all I have to share with you.

With the holidays around the corner, I thought I would bring out an all new favorite of mine…I actually finally got up a wall display of photos of the 5 kids…and decided to try the all new *LUXE* Floatmounts.

These babies are to die for! Honestly, or maybe it is because they really are taken of “my babies” but what an amazing combo.

I have canvas up on my walls and swore by them but I wanted something a little more subtle for my living room and these were the perfect fit…I love having a variety in my home and these just make me smile!

Take a look, what better way to get a feel for what they are that to see some photos.

Josee and I come together to form once upon a time Photography our wedding photography biz {why not come join our page on facebook},

With me being pregnant and now having a young baby we didn’t get to book much this year in terms of weddings and I forgot how much I love capturing this special time in someones life.

It was no exception for this beautiful couple.

When two people come together to bind their love in front of their families and closest friends it is nothing but pure magic.

On this very windy day in September, there seemed to be an extra force with us when they said ~I do. The winds picked up, making us all “feel” the strength in those two simple words.

May your love grow in strength each and every day.

I have so much to be thankful for, beautiful children, a wonderful hubby, and the job of my dreams. I have to give thanks to each and every client, without you I wouldn’t be where I am today, thank you for making this year such a successful one. I never imagined that something I had such passion for could possibly go this far. I am in awe. I am humbled and I have all of you to thank for it.

I wanted to give back to all of you, and so, I picked my top 20 photos of 2009…and trust me….it was soooo hard. I love each and every session for different reasons, each photo I chose isn’t necessarily the best photographically but some just mean a lot to me.

How does it work?

Ok starting now…until midnight on January 13th, 2010 there will be an anonymous pole. Anybody can vote, but you are limited to one vote per person (and yes I will be checking). I want this to be absolutely fair because the prizes are going to be awesome (UPDATED!!).

Turning 2: Montreal Child Photographer

A little girl only turns two years old once…and what a cutie she is. She had all of her friends & family over and everyone had a blast. The weather turned out perfectly even though mom was so worried it was going to rain!

Recognize this next little guy? I can not get over how big he has gotten…he is still such a sweetie, and calm natured just little his mommy but identical to his Dad, yup it is mini moe!

True Love : Montreal Wedding Photographer

True Love is eternal. It is timeless with no beginning and no end. The symbolism of the rings is just that, a circle of eternity, a love that will last forever. Fighting the odds and sticking by one another through thick and thin.

I am quite confident that this fun loving, beautiful couple will do just that. It is in the way he glances at her when nobody is looking or the way she smiles after he holds her tight and kisses her. These are things that are shown without words, that can only be noticed if one takes the time to look. This is why I love what I do. I love being able to transmit these emotions, and show them as I see them. I know I am a very expressive, emotional being, and each moment has meaning, so I take my inner emotions and escape into your reality to create your story for you to have forever.

California sun : Montreal Family Photographer

Well not quite the California sun here in Montreal considering our summer has been less than idle but this family came all the way from California and to my surprise wanted a session. They wanted to take advantage of having the whole family together and I couldn’t be happier to be involved in the occasion.

Though not an easy task to get a family of 13 to look at the camera, smile and not close their eyes, I think we did a pretty good job. After a little getting-to-know-you time, everyone loosened up and we had fun.

I truly hope you love these photos, I know how much it means to Ellie.

Is there anything sweeter than seeing a couple who has been together for so many years, holding hands…I think not. Congrats for having such a beautiful family! You should both be very proud.

Family session/Session de famille – Montreal Family Photographer

19 people! Yes 19 grandkids, planned and got together to have a session so they can give their grandmother a nice keepsake. Each and every one of them were so sweet, I really did have so much fun, though I have to tell you I was hesitatant to do this job, in the end it was a real blast!

19 personnes ! Eh oui 19 petits-enfants ont prévu cette session et se sont réunis pour une session de photo et ainsi pouvoir offrir à leur grand mère un cedeau d’anniversaire original. Chacun d’eux était tellement gentil, j’ai eu tellement de plaisir à réaliser ce défi. Je dois vous avouer qu’au départ j’ai hésiter à me lancer dans cette aventure. Vous comprendrez qu’une session de photo avec 19 personnes représente tout un défi. Je peux affirmer maintenant que je suis très heureuse du travail accompli.
